Today we're launching Account Linking — the ability to securely connect your bank and brokerage accounts to Alistair, so your net worth, financial health, and personalized advice stay current automatically.

Why account linking matters

Until now, Alistair only knew what you told it. That meant typing in account balances, uploading statements, and remembering to update your numbers whenever something changed. It worked — but it depended on you being diligent.

Account Linking removes that friction. Once you connect an account, Alistair keeps your balances and holdings up to date on its own. No more manual entry. No more stale numbers. Your dashboard, your financial plan, and every conversation you have with Alistair reflect your real financial picture.

Read-only, always

A fair question: "Do you get access to move my money?"

No. Account Linking is strictly read-only. Alistair can see balances and holdings — that's it. We can't transfer funds, pay bills, or make trades. We never see your login credentials, and you can disconnect any account at any time.

With your accounts connected, Alistair gets a lot smarter:

An accurate net worth. Assets minus liabilities, updated automatically. Watch it move over time instead of guessing.

Sharper financial health. Alistair's health score reflects real numbers, not rough estimates.

Better conversations. When you ask "can I afford this house?" or "am I on track to retire?", Alistair answers from your actual balances and holdings — not last quarter's statement.

A living financial plan. Your plan recalculates as your accounts change, so the advice you get is never based on outdated data.

Account Linking is available on Alistair Pro. If you're a Pro subscriber, you'll find it in Settings → Connections — connecting your first account takes about a minute.

Privacy you can hold us to

Your data is encrypted and used only to give you better financial advice. We never sell it, never train on it, and never share it. You stay in control — disconnect any account whenever you like, and it's removed immediately.
